AC service

Servicing that extends the life of your air conditioning

Clean filters, a disinfected heat exchanger and checked refrigerant mean lower energy use, higher output and healthy, odour-free air. The best time to book a service is right now — before the seasonal rush.

Indoor air conditioning unit ready for its regular service

Why service regularly

Neglected maintenance gets expensive

A poorly maintained air conditioner loses output, uses more energy and can become a source of odours and unhealthy contaminants. Regular servicing, on the other hand, keeps it running reliably and extends its life — an investment that always pays off.

It doesn't matter who installed your air conditioning. Our team looks after units of every brand.

  • We clean the filters and disinfect the heat exchanger
  • We check the refrigerant pressure and charge
  • We test the unit's operation and condensate drainage
  • We advise what the unit needs for the coming season

Common service questions

Before you call us, try this

The six most common problems and what you can do about them yourself. And if you're stuck, we're happy to help — quickly and professionally.

If the unit ignores commands from the remote control, there may be a fault. The indoor unit usually signals an error with a blinking LED or an error code on the display.

What to do: contact our service team — we'll diagnose the fault.

An unpleasant smell is usually down to neglected maintenance — mould and bacteria thrive in the damp environment of the evaporator. Another cause can be a badly routed condensate drain, for example one without a trap.

The fix: remove and clean the indoor unit's filters, disinfect the heat exchanger with a suitable product and check that the condensate runs through a ball trap. If in doubt, leave the service to our technicians.

Most often the wrong mode is selected on the remote — check that COOL (snowflake) is set for cooling or HEAT (sun) for heating. If everything is set correctly, the cause may be a refrigerant leak or heavily clogged filters.

The fix: check the mode on the remote and clean the filters. If the problem persists, call our service team.

Usually the condensate drain has a poor gradient or the hose is blocked. On units with a condensate pump, the pump may have failed.

The fix: check that the hose slopes correctly and isn't submerged, and clean it out. If you use a pump, contact our service team.

Increased noise and icing are usually caused by a dirty fan or a clogged heat exchanger or filters. Airflow drops and the unit works under greater strain.

The fix: clean the filters and evaporator and check there is no foreign object in the fan. For indoor units, call our service team.

In heating mode, frost build-up is normal — the unit automatically runs a defrost cycle, during which the indoor unit briefly eases off. In high humidity, defrosting may run more often.

Important: this is not a fault, but a normal part of operation.
